A retrospective is given on how we may have escaped boredom before the spread of technology. As a child, we may be distracted by a butterfly, fold a paper airplane or, as we become older, start writing.
This poses the question of how we escape boredom today, and brings to the forefront that boredom is often seen as a negative, undesired state of mind.
The use of half-mirrors in the bespoke frame makes the sculptures visible from both sides with a blurred infinity mirror that gives them an isolated and timeless atmosphere.
